Film Openinings
Rise
Rise begins with different shots of a car and a boy with different credits shown of the people staring and helping with this film, then the title "Rise". Then, music begins and this boy starts intently practicing soccer. I really liked the lighting and the shots these students used for this. Then, a new character comes in the opening and seems to have bad intentions or an angry look on his face. When the boy realizes this new guy staring, they both share intense looks.
Offline
This opening begins with credits, and then a mysterious figure on a girls instagram page. It then reveals the girl he's looking at is in a cage. Having flashbacks to times when she was on her phone or just living a normal life. It then cuts off as she wakes up and realizes where she is. This was a good opening but I definitely liked Rise better, this one was harder to understand.
Dear Lover
This one is about a girl speaking in an interview. She is sitting at the lake recalling when she ran away from home because her mom was unsupportive of her. She spoke about her girlfriend and her writing letters while they were apart from each other. It ended right when she said she wanted to tell the story from the beginning.
Dare to Thrill
This was a film opening about kids doing dares they found online. There is loud music and it looked like they were doing thrilling dares. There were many fun shots of them driving fast and and jamming to music. The music cuts and shows the kids looking in the trunk and get frightened. Then the film stops.
Always Watching
This begins with a therapist talking to a boy who is obsessed with his ex best friend. It shows to cuts of the boy creepily watching over his old friend with eerie music in the back. The boy then continues to say his friend took away everything and wants to hurt him. Then it shows him tying his friend up and talking about how he wants everything. The scary music continues, and then the film stops.
The Blue Boar
This is an old film. There is a girl getting yelled at for drawing and being creative. The girl is in the woods looking like she is wearing very un-modern clothes. Then she sings a song about how she wants to follow her heart with shots of her playing in nature. This one was very well done.
White Coat
This one is ominous. There are unclear shots of a doctor and someone who looks trapped. There is creepy music in the back and shots of the doctor mixing liquids and probably planning on testing them on a patient. It ends abruptly after a boy in the lab opens a green box.
Stalker
This begins with a girl waking up to an alarm and looking outside. She then gets ready for the day, until she hears something and realizes she's being watched. After being very stressed and gets in her car, the film ends with her being very scared because she saw something, most likely the stalker, outside her car.
Nostalgia
This one begins with music and an old woman looking pictures of a house and water. The music is somewhat sad and slow. The old woman looks sad and is picking leaves off a bush. Then she reaches for some objects and pictures of her family. She looks happy after looking at the photo and what looks like a young person of her. It ends abruptly.
Lost and Found
This one is about a boy working about being late because he was working on a sketch. He is waling somewhere on a busy street. Then a girl is shown looking at her laptop before work. It won't load and she gets frustrated.
