November 10 2019 Quarter 2 Week 3 "Agent Carter" directed by Lous D'Esposito demonstrates many different types of camera shots, different types of editing, sound effects, and mise-en-scene just through the short video I watched. Viewing this and writing about it helps me better understand the different parts of film because i got to see real examples of the film aspects we have been studying. Starting off with different types of camera shots and angles, the film clip we watched started with some close up shots of Peggy and Steve. It then switches to an establishing shot showing New York. This sets the scene and shows that time has passed and it is a different time period than what we had just seen. An over the shoulder shot is also used when Peggy is working at her desk and talking to two men. Furthermore, different close up shots are used when Peggy is fighting the two men. October 25 2019 Quarter two week one Mise En Scene: Gossip Girl I am currently watching Gossip Girl, so I decided to do this week's assignment while watching and episode, because as I watch this show frequently, I think it would be interesting to study the show. The episode used is Season 2 Episode 10: Bonfire of the Vanity The episode begins in Brooklyn, New York. The setting is casual, located inside of one of the main character's, Dan Humphrey's apartment. Both characters in the scene, are placed in the kitchen with deep space , many different parts of the apartment are shown and you can tell the depth and difference of space between items. As the scene shifts to the Upper East side of New York, in Blair Waldorf's apartment, deep space is still used at the large table of girls chatting about boys and parties, this is the point where costume changes. As Brooklyn is a more middle class part of New York, the character's costume is casual. Upper East side...

October Eleventh 2019 Quarter one week eight & nine Our 5 master edits with sound is uploaded here: Five Master Edits w/ Sound The first video we added sound into was contrast ; it begun with a video of Nicole studying with calming classical music added in. Then, it turns into a video of Nicole jumping off the diving off board with splashing sound effects added in. The second video we worked on was parallelism . This video we tried to do a voiceover , I am "talking" to nicole as we walk to class.  The third video was symbolism . This, was personally my favorite. We used the Lely Trojans as our symbol and to keep a school theme, we used a video clip of the drum-line playing an opening theme. The fourth video is Simultaneity. September 27 2019 Quarter one week seven Master Edits in Different Film Clips 1. Parallelism in Forrest Gump T his scene in Forrest Gump shows parallelism because in his flashback, a very similar scene of a younger version of himself.  2. Leitmotif in Frozen 2 This short clip shows the leitmotif in the Frozen Two. As the shots of the title and then the sisters with the trolls appear, the song "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?" Starts playing in the background, which is a nod to the first frozen movie. 3. Simultaneity in Frozen This clip of frozen was a scene where both sisters are singing "For The First Time in Forever." This is Simultaneity because the event is happening at the same time. Both are singing at the same time, but in different locations in the kingdom. 4. September 20 2019 Quarter one week five & six Nicole and I's 5 master edits are posted here; 5 Master Edits The first shot Nicole and I did was contrast . This was demonstrated by Nicole studying and then jumping off a diving board. The second shot, parallelism is shown by Nicole walking in the hallway and me walking in the hallway as-well, to the same class. The third shot was symbolism . This was shown by the trojan logo on the ground and then the trojan statue standing in the courtyard. The fourth shot was simultaneity which showed outside and inside the cafeteria. The last shot we did was leitmotif which was me thinking and Nicole spinning, which later we plan to add Peter Pan music to represent "You Can Fly!"

September 8 2019 Quarter one week three & four  Review of Camera Angles in "Inside Out" 2015 Produced by Jonas Rivera and Pete Docter I chose the movie inside out because I love light hearted animations. I also chose this because camera angles are found in animations even though technically there is no "camera". The Producers use the camera angles through animation to bring out emotion of effect. Therefore, choosing this animated movie will help me better pick out camera angles and help me study them and how their used in a movie like "Inside Out" The first shot I chose was an establishing shot. The establishing shot I chose helps us understand Riley, the main character's emotion when seeing her new home. The shot of her dull city home seems quite disappointing compared to her old home, and what she had imagined when on her way to San Francisco.
